In this article, I will tell you about the apps you need on your new smartphone. I have made this list keeping the efficiency, size, data usage, and user interface of these apps. These apps will not only increase your productivity but will also give you the best user experience.
Do keep in mind that I am in no way promoting these apps. These are just my personal preferences to help you choose some of the best android apps.
Do You Know These Best Android Apps?
Read this article to the end as I tell you about some of the best android apps available on the Google Play Store.
In this digital era, external storage has slowly become obsolete; users are becoming more dependent on cloud storage. If you don’t know what cloud storage is, let me explain it briefly.
Cloud storage is a storage model in which data is stored and maintained. It is generally a paid service, but companies often allow users to access limited cloud storage. For instance, in Google Drive, users get 15 GB free, which, in my opinion, is more than enough for storing files and documents.
I have kept this app in the first position because Google provides a ton of extra features with it like Google Docs, Google Photos, Google Calendars, and Google Sheets. You need to have this android app on your phone.
Swiftkey By Microsoft
A good keyboard is a must-have for all android users. If your new phone’s default keyboard is not that great, you can consider using SwiftKey by Microsoft. It is among one of the best third-party keyboards available on the Google Play Store. Not only is it efficient, but it also provides customization.
Swiftkey has been in the game for a lot of years. But recently, it has been acquired by Microsoft. After the acquisition, Swiftkey has become even more organized and user friendly. The keyboard is free to download.
You can purchase themes of your choice as there are a ton of options. Swiftkey provides gesture typing, multi-device synchronizing, and a lot more.
Regardless of whether you like the default weather app on your phone or not, you have to download 1Weather. I can say with confidence that it is the best weather app on Google Play Store. It is minimal but offers a ton of fun weather details.
The interface is user friendly. You have to occasionally bear with some ads if you are using the free version, but if you don’t want to deal with those ads, I suggest you opt for the premium version. Trust me; it’s worth the $2 you pay.
Browsing files on your phone is extremely crucial, especially when you need to transfer something from internal storage to external storage. If your phone does not have a dedicated in-built file explorer, then you might as well download and install Solid Explorer.

Some of the best features that solid explorer provides are that it is extremely stable and bug-free. As a result, it does not crash very often, unlike most other file explorers.
I can’t emphasize how much I like this app. If your phone has an AMOLED display, then you need to install this app right away as you know that an AMOLED screen works differently than normal LCD displays.
This app lets you download wallpapers that are power efficient and best suited for Amoled displays. You can also download 4k wallpapers on this app.
TickTick is a thing to-do app. What I like about this app is its minimalistic interface. I agree that there are a ton of to-do apps that are out there, but those are mostly not free. You have to pay a premium price to use those apps. TickTick can be useful in keeping track of what you do throughout the day. It can serve you as a grocery list.
If you are a fan of listening to podcasts, then you might already know about this app. There are several types of podcasts you will find on this app. You can browse by category. It has a very simple user interface.
First, let me make it very clear that I am not promoting Spotify in any way; the only reason Spotify is placed here is because of the features it provides. According to me it’s the best streaming service out there and beats its competitors by miles.
The user interface is very rich, which makes it extremely visually appealing. If you decide to use the free version, you will not get the best quality of music streaming, and you will have to occasionally deal with irritating ads. But if you are willing to pay $9.99 per month, then you can enjoy the best streaming quality on the planet.
There are a few other apps like Youtube Music and Apple Music, but I find Spotify to be the best in its category.
These were some of the best android apps that you need to have on your phone. These apps will make your phone very smooth and efficient. I have personally tested all these apps on my smartphone, and I can vouch for them.
