There is something you can do on your child’s birthday to make them feel special all year long.
Birthday Ideas For Children
I’m going to be sharing those ideas with you, I didn’t invent them or create them, but they have seemed to work with our children throughout the years. Hopefully, these ideas will come in handy for you and your family.
A Shopping Spree
My first one is a shopping spree, I know when you hear that, some parents are just thinking “Oh shopping spree, I don’t have an endless amount of money”, don’t worry, neither do I. What I mean by that is just setting a certain amount for the child to go spend on whatever they want. This is not their own money they’ve saved up from Grandma and Grandpa, it’s money that you’re giving them on this particular day at this particular time, that they can go do whatever they want. If they want to buy five shirts they can buy five shirts, if they want to buy ten toys they can buy ten toys, it all depends basically on the amount of money you set for them. I’ve done it to where it’s been like 100 or 150 and that depends on the child’s age. You can bring them to the physical supermarket, or just let them shop online. My son has always been wanting anime shorts, he bought a Japan anime death note causal summer short at last.
Birthday Crown
Another idea is that you can get them a birthday crown, with their favorite animal or character on it, or you can make it yourself. I got a crown from Etsy for my son. He likes Avengers so I got a special one for him. It has an adjustable strap so that as your child grows, you can adjust it to their head.
A good sleepover
You can tailor this to every single age group, it doesn’t necessarily mean that kids have to come and spend the night, but what I’ve had to happen is, with the younger kids (4-year-olds or so), we could have a couple of cousins come over and just spent maybe four hours pretend to do a pretend sleepover, where they come in they’re dressed in their pajamas, they will have popcorn and a movie. We just do things as we would at a sleepover, the only difference is we don’t spend the night. But I still call it a sleepover because it’s fun. You don’t really have to worry about too many activities, cause the fun is in your house in any way, you probably have games, board games, TV, movies, popcorn, and snacks, so you don’t have to do too much for sleepovers, but the excitement of having your friends stay over and spend the night is any kids dream so they all have fun and it’s just a good time for everyone.
Dinner In a Movie
The last one I have down is dinner in a movie, now I’m going to be doing this one this year for my son’s 10th birthday. I’m taking a few of his friends as well as him out to dinner and then we’re going to walk over to the movie theaters because fortunately enough they’re right next to each other. So we’re calling it a dinner in a movie. And they are gonna be getting little tiny goodie bags, nothing too fancy or elaborate, but just the experience of being able to go to dinner in a movie with his closest friends. It is absolutely exciting to him, and it will be fun to celebrate his birthday that way.
Conclusion
Those are the four ideas I had for celebrating your child’s birthday without having to throw them a huge party. Hope you feel it is helpful
